Wrangler/ Trail Ride Trainer

Full Time

Scope:
Assist in managing Trail Horse Operations at Las Campanas, including Kids Camp; Responsible for horses and equipment used for LC Trail Rides and Kids Camp; Assist in preparation and implementation of curriculum for Kids Camp; Assist in preparation and implementation of curriculum for Trail Lesson Program; Instruct riders participating in LC Trail Rides and Kids Camp; assist and guide Interns; Maintain established quality and service standards for members. Haul truck and trailer with LC horses and/or member horses to offsite rides or event Teach English lessons to both boarders and non-boarders as required per Equestrian Center Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain the “trail area” in a clean and tidy condition, including the horse pens.
• Maintain the horses used in the LC Trail Program, including:
• Ride at least one time (three times if not being used on trails) per week every horse in the LC Trail Program.
• Rotate the horses used as guide horse, so that every horse in the LC Trail Program is used in that capacity.
• Acknowledge scheduled rides, identifying which horses are used on a particular ride, based on rider’s weight and declared experience.
• Groom and saddle horses for trail rides.
• Have horses ready to go at scheduled time for trail ride. If ride is to go out at 10 am, ALL horses must be saddled and ready to go at 9:50 am.
• Following the ride, un-tack, groom and wash, as needed, both horses and tack.
• Distribute a post-ride evaluation form (to be created) to participants.
• Maintain records of all trail rides, including horses used, destination, time on the trail and a summary of evaluation observations.
• Monitor each horse’s feed and condition.
• Assist in scheduling and coordination of routine and emergency veterinary care and farrier care.

Education/Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional background and expertise with trail horses and instructing preferred.
• Knowledge of taking care of horses, equipment and tack.
• Knowledge of the use and application of varied tack, supplies and machinery required.
• Experience driving a truck with a horse trailer preferred.

Certification and/or License Requirement:
Valid state driver's license and clean MVR
Current First Aid certificate with CPR certification (or within one year of hire)

Barn Worker

Scope:
Maintain established quality, cleanliness and service standards of Equestrian Center.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Dust and zip all tack trunks as needed.
• Remove and dump garbage.
• Dispose of manure as necessary.
• Rake pathways, courtyard and driveways.
• Move horses to and from turn-out areas as needed with turn-out sheets and boots as required
• Move and store jumps and dressage ring as necessary.
• Keep all equipment clean and in good working order.
• See that horses stabled at the Equestrian Center receive the highest level of care, including feeding and turn-out done with care and kindness.
• Ensure the Equestrian Center provides a safe environment for both members and their horses.
• Ensure quality standards for public relations are maintained with members, guests and the local community.

Clubhouse Assistant

Full Time


Works closely with the Clubhouse Manager and the General Manager. Responsible for operation of all aspects of the Clubhouse operation in the absence of the Clubhouse Manager and performs specific tasks as requested by him/her. Responsible for the general operation of staff functions related to the Clubhouse. Supervises the work of the Dining Captains, Bartenders, Back servers and Host/Hostesses. Sits in on the House Committee. Supports all aspects of Private Parties and Club functions

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the management of timely communication and service functions.
• Ensures all Department administrative responsibilities are completed, as assigned, in a timely manner.
• Maintains contact with the membership and assists with questions or comments and relays this information to each Director and the General Manager.
• Works in rotation with other managers to supervise, schedule and train service staff to coordinate quality programs and services.
• Conducts monthly meetings with service staff in all areas.
• Works in conjunction with Clubhouse Manager and the Director of Human Resources to provide insight and direction for the hiring and scheduling of service personnel.
• Works in conjunction with the Directors to create programs to communicate with members and develop plans to improve services and facilities for members.
• Responsible for creating positive memorable experiences for the members and guests each time they visit the Club through effective staff training.
• Works with department heads to plan professional development programs for applicable staff.
• May serve as a departmental manager in that manager’s absence.
• Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Undertakes special projects as requested by the Clubhouse Manager and/or General Manager.
• Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently followed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Golf or Hospitality management, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant management, Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one to three years of experience in a traditional, high end club environment, upscale hotel or restaurant is preferred.
• A degree in hospitality management and working toward the CCM designation is a plus.
• Experience supervising, coaching, mentoring and developing high achieving team members.
• Financial, budgeting and forecasting experience and knowledge of current HR laws and regulations.

Valet/Shuttle Driver

Primary Functions Valet:
• Greet and assist all members and guests with anything that they may require, ensuring that their time spent at the property is pleasant and enjoyable.
• Coordinate the parking duties for most special functions, as well monitoring the cleanliness of all outside areas.
• Communicate with the entire staff to coordinate efforts aimed at providing world- class service.
• Greet the members and their guests at the valet/bag drop area of the clubhouse and park their cars.
• Actively perform all member/guest services (open car doors, direct all members and guests to their destination, safely park and retrieve vehicles).

Primary Function Shuttle Driver:
• Driving any guests or members to appropriate destinations in a safe and
• professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, including interior and exterior.
• Access, input and retrieve information from department computer system.
• Coordinate, track, and respond quickly to all transportation requests.
• Responsible for billing procedures and proper handling of any reports.
• Maintain professional composure in high stress situations in order to make last minute changes

Experience:
• 3 years driving experience.
• Experience driving an automatic and standard transmission.

Education/Certifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Part Time On-Call

Scope:
Execute all prep and service as related to Restaurant and Outlet needs and/or Banquets.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook all menu items according standard recipes.
• Take inventory of all items necessary for station.
• Set up station 15 minutes prior to service time.

Experience:
•Minimum 1 to 3 years food and beverage and /or hospitality related work experience required.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Clean, maintain, and prepare the assigned buildings and/or guest lodging including the Clubhouse.
• Stock and re-supply Clubhouse and employee restrooms daily.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum, dust, polish all woodwork, shampoo carpets.
• Empty trash and ash receptacles.
• Clean and maintain windows, blinds, and mirrors.
• Stock assigned areas with clean paper products and linens and fresh supplies daily in assigned areas, change light bulbs as needed.
• Check fresh flowers and change water daily.
• Clean patios, patio furniture, fireplaces after each use, change and make beds, if applicable.
